The Artist's Way Week 7: The Art is in the Details

“The art is in the details” is something an art teacher told me years ago that I think about a lot. It’s an encouragement to fill in more details than you think you need, and to be willing to be surprised by what comes out. It felt like this week kept asking me to consider the ways patience with myself might be helpful in creating work with specificity and detail.
