Welcome to part 2 of my three-part Extremely Specific Gift Guide! If you missed part 1, it’s gifts for the fiber freak:
Extremely Specific Gift Guide: For the Fiber Freak
I love reading gift guides every year, but I also feel so deeply oppressed by the whiskey stones of Big Gift Guide, so I thought it would be fun to compile a series of extremely specific gift guides. So far I have three ready so stay tuned for the next two.
Today, we are compiling gifts for the Paper Freak. McNally Jackson’s Goods for the Study hates to see her coming. She has a whole pouch full of washi tape that’s too precious to use. She had a bullet journal years ago but found accounting for every moment of her life depressing. Now she simply “keeps a notebook.”
15-Minute Art: Drawing by Jessica Smith
There’s a whole range of these 15 minute art books and I think they’re a lovely gift for someone artistically inclined who wants to spend less time on their phone in the evenings. Each exercise goes through a basic skill with the project of putting it all together at the end.
Paper Republic Writers Essentials Kit
This is somewhat of a risky gift idea for a paper junkie because we are notoriously very picky with our notebooks and paper. That being said, I think a leather traveler’s notebook that fits a B5 or A5 notebook of any brand could be a really special addition to a paper lover’s regimen. This kit comes with a couple notebooks, some extra ribbons, and a beautiful storage box. You can also get the leather embossed!
No Particular Order journal
These journals are filled with prompts that you can fill out in—you guessed it—no particular order. If your person has a big trip coming up, consider their Off the Grid travel notebook, which is designed to document a single trip!
Kaweco x Moleskine fountain pen and ballpoint pen set
As an occasional fountain pen user, I’m partial to Kawecos that take cartridges because they’re much tidier. This little kit is so cute and feels very special.
Creator’s Friend hobby notebooks
Creator’s Friend makes a ton of specialized notebooks for different interests—this would be great to accompany a leather traveler’s notebook, so they can fill it up with notebooks related to their specific interests.
Eric Small Things x Sanby date stamp
A cute little stamp you can customize by date is such a fun gift. My sister got me one a few years ago and I love using it in my journals.
I LOVE this. Thank you!!!! 💜
